Sweet Talk

My wonderful, sweet (despite what she says) friend Vijaya gave me a "sweet award," and as I'm somewhat drawn to questionnaires and interviews and such (ha, probably for the same reason teen girls like quizzes), I'll play. And the rules are easy! Answer the following five questions having to do with sweets and then nominate five more bloggers. Okay, well, I usually have a problem finding people who haven't already played these things, so we'll just see how I fare with the second requirement. Anyway:

1. Cookies or Cake? No, no, no. The question is pie or ice cream, to which the answer is:
What? Instructions? I should follow? Okay. Cookies. I love a good chocolate chip or oatmeal raisin, Oreos, graham crackers with frosting on them, and I'd say probably the best basic all-around ice cream flavor is cookies and cream, closely followed by cookie dough.

2. Chocolate or Vanilla? Chocolate. Dark. But pure vanilla is also wonderful. And caramel. Good caramel is heavenly.

3. Favorite Sweet Treat? What? I have to draw you a picture?
4. When do you crave sweet things the most? Probably anytime from lunch onward is fair game.
5. Sweet Nickname? When I was a child, my best friend's dad called me Marshmallow.

Five bloggers to pass the sweets to. Okay, I'm gonna give this my best shot. Of course, feel free to play or not, as you choose.

And now, if you'll all excuse me, there's something in the freezer calling my name...

This is such a "sweet" tag!

Oh...sweets. How to choose? I love you kinda didn't. :-) Lovely tag; thanks, Marcia.

Yes! Ice cream! Why wasn't that included in ANY of the questions? I'm thinking there's some sort of anti-frozen-goodness conspiracy going on here...
Randomly, cookies and cream is my husband's favorite, and cookie dough is mine (except for peppermint stick, but they only have that at Christmas). So if you're ever in CT, you need to come raid our freezer with us. :)

I agree that Vijaya and you are both wonderful, great at what you do, and sweet. But me? Mrs. Sketch-a-Kvetch?

I'll pass because of deep feeling of undeservedness, but not before I add my vote here for Vanilla.

Bish -- I'm almost amazed that this is my first excuse to post ice cream pictures.

Barbara -- Oh, but I did, didn't I? :)

Faith -- I cannot imagine any reason for this oversight. Yes, if we ever come each other's way, we'll have ice cream!

Mirka -- My husband and my mom will join you with vanilla!

Aw, thank you, Marcia!! But I just did a Liebster award post, and I'm still a bit wrung out by all that copying and pasting and linking, lol! Though I will say- sweets? Anytime and yes, please! Drop me off at a Baskin Robbins and I'm in heaven... *Pralines & Cream, yum!*

Vijaya -- LOL, I didn't know Boeing made ice cream makers! :D

Leandra -- Yes! Pralines and Cream! Closely followed by Jamoca Almond Fudge!

This made me hungry. I'm in the mood for a sundae this early in the morning.

Thanks for tagging me. :)

Love your answers. I'm with you on the dark chocolate and vanilla. Yum!

Medeia -- Long ago, when I unexpectedly found myself in a restaurant at 10am and didn't want to order a second breakfast, I ordered a hot fudge sundae. The server was amused. I thought how silly it seemed to keep certain foods to only certain times of day. :)

Kelly -- Yes, yum to both!

Congrats on the award...and for making me really want a cookie now :)

Mmmm! I love sweets. My mom always had to have something sweet after a meal, I think I took after her.

Marshmallow is a great nickname! And good caramel IS heavenly. Congrats on your award!

Meradeth -- Drat that power of suggestion. :)

Janet -- I think what my grandma always called "a bite of sweets" signals that the meal is over. I've found at times that it's hard to stop eating if you don't have dessert to "send a message."

Emily -- I've never been a fan of actual marshmallow, but my friend's dad was a really cool guy. :)

What fun! I love your answers (and the accompanying pictures.)
We used to call my best friend's dad Marshmallow, but that was because he was such a softee. She could get away with anything.
Thanks so much for passing this one along to me, Marcia. =)

Ruth -- I'll enjoy reading your answers. :)

It's still breakfast time here and you've made me crave dessert! Bad, Marcia. Very bad. :-)

It's great to be back from my break. Now I have to go find some ice cream and fudge sauce.

Marcia said...

Lee -- So sorry. Kinda. :) Welcome back from break!

So hard on my healthy diet! This really is an unfair post. :) Thanks again for your direction on the boards.
